On Sunday 10 September 2023 I will take part in the Great North Run in Newcastle. I would like to take the opportunity to raise funds for the Hospice of the Tides (Hospiz der Gezeiten) near my hometown in Germany.

All hospices heavily rely on donations. I am hoping to make a difference by running a half marathon and raising funds.

The day of the event would have been my late Mum's 75th birthday. My Mum passed away in January 2018. The hospice's care for my Mum from December 2017 - January 2018 was second to none and deeply heart-warming.

I've only recently started running again more regularly. Conquering a half marathon will be a huge challenge for me.
