I've raised £1200 to fund physiotherapy and power adjustable standing desk for Inga

Inga is a 9-year-old little girl who has a rare muscle condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
Inga, as any other 9-year-old, is a happy and bright child. She is also growing fast recently. We are very happy seeing her to do so. But fast growing is also a problem - weak muscles do not keep up with growing bones. And that is one of the causes of contractures Inga has in her knees and hips sections. To tackle this problem we book active physiotherapy sessions (exercises, stretching, massages). Because it is impossible to book those to often we, parents, do exercises with Inga every day. On top of that Inga has to use standing frame and leg splints to keep her body in vertical position for as long as she is able to.
For that reason, since she was 3 years old, we have tried her to eat or do homework while standing next to the kitchen table. Thanks to that we had physiotherapy incorporated in a normal daily routine. Unfortunately, recently Inga became to tall to do that. She has started to spend less time in vertical position which caused her contractures get worse.
For Inga to get better and tackle her joints problem we want to purchase power adjustable height standing desk. This desk will enable her to do her homework and play in standing position again. She would be able to use it also when being in a wheelchair or even when she is on the floor crawling around.
Inga's family friend - Alicia - will join National Three Peaks Challenge this year to raise funds for this special desk and physiotherapy sessions. We will all keep our fingers crossed for her success! That is why we are kindly asking you for a donation.
Thank you very much!!!
