Story
I was involved with a situation in relation to a young man who was going to take his own life.
Fortunately he was saved & this solitary event upset me for months to come & still does as I recall & write this story.
In the past & recently I have raised funds for a well known local hospice, Pendlside Hospice, but after this heartbreaking event, I realised smaller local community charities, groups also needed help.
I searched & found a new group called Casual Minds Matter, from Burnley, who provide free advice, counselling, support, a place of safety.
For those individuals & families who are truly desperate, they are placed free of charge into a programme with professional one on one therapy & long term support.
Since I found this group of voulanteers, I have been saddened to hear horriffic stories which I would never have come across in normal circumstances.
Families & Individuals need groups in local communities like this to help those in real need, a place to turn to, a place of safety & most of all non judgemental of your place in society.
A group of individuals from Casual Minds Matter who have earned my respect & who are doing what they can to save families & individuals with very limited resources.
