Story
Imke Siegerist will be running the Round Reading Ultra 100k on 5th August this year and the money she raises will go towards the essential maintenance of the St Mary-at-Hill organ. We will be supporting her and cheering her on at the finish line.
The organ at St Mary-at-Hill is well looked after but there is still some essential maintenance that needs to be completed in order to keep this gem of an instrument in tip-top condition. Please help us raise the funds we need!
Imke says, "I got into marathon running by chance as I was always the worst one at sports at school and discovered I had a skill for running by doing a 12-minute run at school. One day I decided to run a marathon and then I wanted to keep myself active in winter. I then saw a movie based on the Comrades marathon in South Africa (55 miles) and wished to take part. A year later I did it and again the following year. The rest is history as this was followed by various marathons and ultra-distance races."
