In memory of Innocents’ many achievements her family have decided that instead of placing flowers at the funeral it is more fitting to donate to a charity which reflects her personality and background.

The chosen charity is a charity in Kandy, Sri Lanka which supports young girls in receiving their education. Chosen to reflect Innocents’ many years as a teacher. More than just a job, Innocent enjoyed helping those around her and never shied from learning about or discussing a new or difficult topic. A trait that she never left behind even once she moved to work at the British Museum and later during her retirement.

While her family is now scattered around the world in many different places, she will not be forgotten nor will her influence go unnoticed on the many people she touched.

Thank you for your contribution and if you are available in the UK on Tuesday 1st November you are welcome to join us for the Funeral and subsequent gathering with refreshments in Twickenham.
