This is Iryna's story..
"They say cancer chooses its targets, unfortunately, this time it chose me....On the 20.3.2017. I was diagnosed with Lymphocytic Leukaemia.
You know, it's impossible to describe in words, when my mum and dad are crying all day and night, my sister with her family have given up everything just to help with what little she has, when people you don't even know write messages of support, and friends, my God, my dear friends, I am nothing without you. You know, I guess it's in these moments that you realise how secondary everything else really is..and the most important things are to be healthy and to see your mother smile.

At the moment, I am being treated in the clinic #4 of Dnepropetrovsk City (Ukraine, my home country). Due to my immune system completely failing and I have a very low level of Haemoglobin, I can't fly anywhere. At the moment, doctors are doing everything they can to boost my immune system so by the 1st April I can travel for treatment to see specialist oncologists who might be able to help and with the power of my positive friends and family, I truly believe they can help me.

I or my family have never asked for anything of anyone, as we could always provide for ourselves pretty well, but it turns out, we don't have enough because the money necessary for this treatment is out of this world!!! It costs $100,000.

My dad raised me and my sister in a way that we have never asked anything of anyone, we work hard to get by and that makes us happy and grateful. But this time, we need help, moral support, financial support, anything our dear friends and their dear friends can do to support and help me ease the burden of sadness and pressure that my little 'friend' cancer has put upon my family."
