My name is Isabel Wood Ayub. Originally from the UK, I have spent many years in Peru as a teacher. After retiring, I now have a small hotel in a remote region of Northern Peru, from which I earn almost nothing.

On October 31st, 2016, I fell heavily and broke my hip. The only solution was a complete hip replacement, without which I would never have been able to walk again. Unfortunately I don’t have any medical insurance.

In view of the urgency of the situation, an extremely kind friend paid for the operation and for medicine and transport to the nearest town (Jaén), and I am now walking normally again and recovering very well.

Unfortunately my monthly income from the hotel and a very small UK pension barely cover daily living expenses. I have not got, nor will I ever have, any way of repaying the loan to my friend.

I would be eternally grateful for any donation to help me clear this embarrassing debt.

Mi nombre es Isabel Wood Ayub. Originaria del Reino Unido, luego de jubilarme después de toda una vida como profesora, ahora tengo un hotel pequeño en una región remota en el norte del Perú, del cual la ganancia es casi nula.

El 31 de octubre del 2016 sufrí una caída fuerte resultando en una cadera rota. La única salida fue una prótesis completa, sin la cual nunca hubiera vuelto a caminar. Lamentablemente, no cuento con seguro médico.

Viendo la urgencia de la situación, un amigo de muy buen corazón me pagó la operación, las medicinas y gastos de traslado a la ciudad más cercana (Jaén). Aahora ya camino normalmente y me estoy recuperando bien.

Sin embargo, mis ingresos por el hotel, sumados a una pequeña jubilación del Reino Unido, cubren apenas el costo de vida diario. No tengo, y no tendré ninguna manera de devolver el préstamo a mi amigo.

Por esto estaré eternamente agradecida por cualquier donación para ayudarme a salir de esta deuda abrumante.
