My daughter has been recently diagnosed with rare form of intersitial lung disease called NEHI. She was born full term , healthy girl, breathing normally.At the age 2.5 months she had a RSV virus and she spent 2 months in hospital holding the oxygen. We didnt know why she is holding the oxygen. That was not nice time for us parents looking at your baby who was not well. We went home on oxygen and still didnt know the diagnosis. After 1 year, 2 ct scans and lots of tests we know its NEHI. Symptoms of this are: lower oxygen levels in blood, rapid breathing, failure to thrive. For NEHI there is no cure. We just hope she will grow out of this. She needs lots of high energy food to put on weight.
