I travelled on the 2nd of May 2017 to Pontypool from my hometown in Tonyrefail, in the Rhondda cynon taff.
To meet a man with a female jack russell terrier that I was interested in buying from him. He met me at Pontypool New Inn train station he arrived in a navy blue jeep he got the dog out of the jeep and handed me her on a blue dirty rope.
When I finally got her back to my home I gave her some water to watch her drink I was stunned to see that she couldn't lap the water up with her tongue like my other dog does without any difficultie,she would put her head in the bowl and tilt her head up for the water to go down her throat. I rushed her to the vets where they carried out a x-ray on her brain to find out she has muscles missing from here brain and is blind in her right eye the rspca paid for this for me but estimated that she wouldn't live long and that it wasn't a good quality of life and made a suggestion to put her to sleep. But I refused to give up on her and took her to the pdsa where they ended up fitting a feeding tube into her stomach and she had to be fed 4 times a day with liquid food 80mls for each feed.she needed to have her jaw exercised after eating food for 5 minutes at a time so the muscles in her jaw would build up stronger because she couldn't open her mouth and she had no swallow reflex. In total I have spent over 365 pounds so far I would be grateful if anyone could make a small donation for Izzy she is only 1 year and 6 months old and has had a bad start in life I will make sure she has a wonderful happy life spoilt with toys and a companion for my senior jack russell terrier boy which is turning 10 in september.
