In memory and honour of my late and beloved father.

I recently visited Pakistan for the first time in over 7 years, and the first time since my father passed. Visiting the city of my ancestry i was forlorn at the lack of available and affordable eyecare. This year, despite the pandemic, i ran a trial camp this year, kindly sponsored by the gracious Al Karam team in Toba Tek Singh and Al Saeed Plaza. The camp was extremely successful and provided much needed care to the region.

In March 2022 we will be launching our first fully equipped eye camp offering free surgery and eyecare to residents of Toba Tek Singh and the surrounding regions. Your kind donations will be used solely for the purpose of purchasing equipment, intraocular lens implants, spectacles and other ocular instruments neccessary for those who cannot afford it. A primary aim of the camp will be to offer free cataract surgery to those who are severely in need. Cataract is one of the leading causes of reversible sight loss in the world and your donations can help reatore the gift of sight to those who cannot afford it. This simple yet life changing operation will be overlooked and led by Dr Abid Javed, Consultant Ophthalmic surgeon based in Bahria Town, Lahore, but whose roots are in Toba Tek Singh, the primary base of our camp.
