On Thursday morning at 4.45am, Jacek Szafranski set off for work as he does everyday. Cycling from his home in Bournemouth to the UK Mail office in Poole. As Jacek was crossing Poole road, a Vauxhall Tigra jumped a red light, travelling at around 60mph, colliding with Jacek and failed to stop.

It is a miracle that Jacek survived the collision. But he did suffer a broken leg, multiple breaks in his foot, cuts to his head and severe damage to the skin on his leg.

Jacek cycled to work everyday and had invested a lot of money in a bike that he could rely on. The bike itself was smashed to bits and our aim of this page is to raise the money to replace this bike and help Jacek with additional costs from this incident.
