Story

2024 Goals, In Sha Allah!

Last year, we had the privilege of aiding the student's learning by providing more materials and space! The main goals we achieved were creating a new playroom for the younger children (as seen in the pictures), and more classrooms to accommodate the pupils. We still need more funding to provide the children with laptops for essential learning, and to recruit new staff to cover the increased uptake, new learning materials, and new furniture as it needs replacing.

InshaAllah with just £1, you can make a difference to empower the women of tomorrow!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide good quality education for the underprivileged, free of charge, whilst promoting every child’s social, emotional & physical development.

Our story

Jamia is a girls’ school which was setup by our grandfather Haji Kharait Hussain in 2006. The school was setup as a form of Sadaqah Jahariya for the benefit of his late parents. Over the years, as a family we have all come together to take this a step further and provide essential education to those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

Located in the village of Kot Bilal, Gujranwala. our mission is to provide girls with excellent education, in line with private schools in Pakistan but at no cost. Our goal is to provide a free education, and free resources and enable these girls to develop skills that they will benefit from for a lifetime. Jamia is exclusive to girls who come from under privileged backgrounds, because we believe it is important to give our students the best possible start to life.

In 2006 Jamia started off with infant children, and there are currently 130 students enrolled at the school. The school starts at prep, seeing the girls all the way through their FA (A-Level equivalent) studies. We recognise that some girls may be unable to pursue further education beyond Jamia, so we also have a vocational skills centre where we run sessions such as: sewing sessions and computing skills to equip them with skills that they can capitalise off later in their lives. The school also provides Islamic education as part of its curriculum, with these lessons kicking off the school day before the other subjects.

As a family we have taken Jamia as far as we can, employing 14 members of staff, building the school, a library, and providing uniforms and resources to students. We need your help to make a playroom, more classrooms, laptops, recruit staff, new learning materials, and new furniture as it needs replacing. In sha Allah

Every child should have the right to a good quality education.
