At 38 weeks pregnant we were told that our baby boy‘s heartbeat had stopped. Our lives changed instantaneously.

Jamie Thomas Tinney was born on the 4th November - he looked like a perfect sleeping angel. We were able to spend the time we needed with him over the next two days to make memories of us as a family that we will hold onto forever. We spent this time making foot and hand prints, read bedtime stories, sang lullabies, bathed him and cuddled and kissed him.

The only way this was possible was through use of a CuddleCot which is a cooling cot that extends the time families get to spend with their child, and a special memory box. These were provided to QEUH by the charity 4Louis - https://4louis.co.uk.

We are currently being supported by Baby Loss Retreat, a Scottish based charity that helps families who have lost their child through aftercare support. This includes counselling and a stay within a peaceful retreat in Scotland to help families to reflect on their journey - https://babylossretreat.org.uk.
