Mum was an amazing character and did so much to help others, she always saw the best in people and would help and support anyone wether she knew them or not, she loved the portland st area and was always trying to make it a better place to live. She was quite literally the heart and soul of the community . We are trying to raise the money for a memorial bench to put on the green behind her old shop to honour her and all she's done. We will need around £800 to do this so I'm hoping we can raise £500 on here. As mums favourite event was the community bonfires we used to have on the green we are hoping to continue raising money to have a remembrance bonfire on bonfire night 2017. If all who knew and loved mum, all those she has helped and touched in someway could just donate a pound each we could easily smash this target and ensure we have a beautiful memorial for her and celebrate her life in style next bonfire night.
