Secret Santa is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that collects money throughout the year to provide Christmas gifts to over 1000 under-privileged kids in the Blackburn and Darwen area. Their intention is to ensure that no kids in the area wake up on Christmas day without a sack of presents. Secret Santa is operated by local couple Phil and Karen Boulding together with their small band of Merry Elves.

For many years, Jennifer Marsden has taken every opportunity to help and support Secret Santa. For those who knew Jen, you will know that her entire life was dedicated to Helping, Developing and Loving the children that she cared for. In the last few years, Jen added the caring of the elderly in the area working as a carer. Her entire working life was dedicated to the love and wellbeing of others.

Sadly, on 21st October 2023, Jen passed away after battling an illness that

despite all of her efforts, she could not shake. She leaves behind her husband Warren, sons Steven, Jordan and Nathan and her beloved Grandchildren Amillia, Leah, Joshua, Kian, Pixie and Beaux. Her loss was sudden and devastaing for all of her family.

Considering Jen’s love of helping others, the family decided that they would dearly love to help Jen to help Secret Santa, even in her absence in the run up to Christmas.
