Weʼve raised £297 to to enable Jessica Jane Applegate MBE to continue her career as a Paralympic Swimmer.
- Norwich, United Kingdom
- Funded on Saturday, 10th June 2017
Don't have time to donate right now?
Four-time Paralympic medalist Jessica Jane Applegate MBE may be forced to retire at the young age of 20, due to a cut in funding.
Despite winning 3 medals at Rio 2016 just 9 weeks after career-saving surgery and competing with a prolapsed disc in her back, Jessica's funding will drop from £21,000 to £11,000 as she was unable to reach a personal best this year. As well as this, Jessica has unfortunately lost the use of a £5000 grant.
This means Jessica is no longer able to cover the costs of necessities such as, travel, accommodation, race entry fees and racing suits.
Please help us in raising £15,000 to support such a determined Norfolk athlete to continue her career as an International Para Swimmer and achieve her dream of representing Great Britain at Tokyo 2020.
Thank you for your generosity.

The last campaign raised an amazing £3674! Thank you so much for your continued support, together you have managed to raise enough money to keep me training, racing & in medical care until April & I am incredibly grateful for this. I have continued my post operation rehabilitation & have been having treatment for my prolapsed disc. The outcome so far has been very positive & after a long period of time I have begun to gain personal best times in racing again. I could not of done this without all of your support, every penny helps! Thank you!
