Story
The seed from which this fundraiser started…..
Charlotte Rimmer - Headteacher, approached us in the summer term. Explaining that ripples of grief were still felt strongly across school & that she felt we could honour Jacob’s memory in a lasting and meaningful way. She had an area in mind, and explained that Jacob’s bench needed a more suitable home 🌿🌱🍃
Jacob’s beautiful bench deserves a beautiful place to nestle. Somewhere the children can play & explore, but most importantly somewhere staff, students & family can remember him. Jacobs twin still attends our school. We know the garden will give everyone the opportunity remember in comforting surroundings.
Corryne, Jacobs Mum, has been very open about her wish that Jacob is remembered and spoken about. In Corryne’s own words……….
“I am open to share. I would never want anyone / parent to go through this. I wanted to make a legacy for Jacob and feel this is an amazing start.
What a community, and thank you to school and you all x”
We are positive his love for Mr Tumble and those beautiful bright colours will be echoed throughout the garden. Corryne has also expressed how she’d love to include SEN elements in the garden and we think this is a fantastic idea!
❤️💙💛💚🧡💜
Friends and family have expressed to Corryne, that although they can’t attend the Colour Run, they still want to support wholeheartedly. Hence this justgiving page. The proceeds will be added to the funds raised at the COLOUR RUN - JOG FOR JACOB! 30/09/23 and we will announce the total here and on the Facebook pages shortly after.
