Story

The world is pretty strange right now, and especially if your a kid. 1st Chatsworth Scouts have continued with a virtual program through the outbreak, leading online activities, fun camps, providing additional activites to "home schooling". These activities we would be normally doing in person. All of which is voluntary and ontop of the day to day activities our leaders have to do.

They make a real impact to the mental wellbeing of the Beavers/Cubs/Scouts and show why this netwrok is so important.

As we look forward Scouting has a big challenge to remain viable. This effort is to raise supplimentory funds specifically for the 1st Chatsworth group to enable the group to continue to grow and provide activites when the pack can meet.

So why bother.... Why now... I as a cub parent have seen the impact this group has on our cub. I never had the chance to experience the Scouting journey and there is a risk that this journey may end.

The Challenge:

I am lucky enough to be able to work from home. So for the month of July I will be Living and Working from a tent in the garden! I will be completing badge activities (heaven help me) and putting these on the Chatsworth Scout facebook page.

Please join me in the journey. Every little helps to ensure the #skillsforlife continue to be passed on.
