Story
As the Kings of Wessex Senior Team, we represent the Kings of Wessex student body as a group of year 13 students in our last year of A-levels. We organise events such as mufti days, sporting events, house events and, most importantly, the iconic Charities Week.
Charities Week is an annual tradition at Kings, where we organise school-wide events involving teachers and students alike to make fools of themselves for 3 worthy causes. This year, we are hosting events such as gunging, lip-sync battles and the Historic Rock and Roll Years- a school-wide concert where we show off our best (and funniest) talents as a school. We need YOUR help to support us to raise our £10,000 target for the following deserving charities:
- In Charley's Memory, which works in the Somerset area to support children and young people with the battle against mental health issues. As a school we will be working closely to improve the mental health awareness of the student population.
- Daughters of Eve, who are a national charity that works towards equality for women and in particular victims of domestic violence and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
- Care4Calais is a charity that works internationally in Calais to provide food, shelter and water to victims of the refugee crisis.
Thank you very much for your support in helping raise money and awareness for our charities!
