    Story

Kidstore Childcare nursery in Kilsyth, North Lanarkshire, have worked tirelessly over the last few months to work as a Key Worker hub during COVID-19 and recently over-hauled their physical space and practices to allow for all the children to return. However, just 2 days in to full operation, the nursery was hit with devastating floods on 4th August 2020.

The entire outdoor space, which was essential to allow for safe social distancing has been completely covered in water and the inside of the building has been ruined. The firebrigade had to attend to evacuate everyone from the building. The staff, parents and children are heartbroken. Especially after all the hard work to get the nursery ready for post COVID. This will mean prolonged time off work for parents while their children are unable to return.

The nursery is well known in the local community for their kind, caring and family oriented nature. Please donate to help them get back on their feet which in turn will help all the desperate families get back to normality!

Thank you so much everyone! Blown away by everyone’s generosity. Alternative temporary accommodation has been sourced through the local council for the children, while the hard work carries on to strip, dry, repair, replace and rebuild. As you can imagine, it’s a massive task and we want the children back to their familiar surroundings as soon as possible, the more we can donate, the faster this can happen! Thank you!
