Positive Life Kenya does incredible work with families affected by HIV and vulnerable members of the community around Machakos County and further afield. They need your help getting the doors open to Kiotani rescue centre. Kiotani in Swahili is 'nest' and this is what Kiotani rescue centre will be for children in the most dire need. The long term vision for the school is to provide a safe haven for children living in unsafe environments to continue their education so that they can develop the skills to live independent and healthy lives and become self sufficient.

New Hope Foundation and sponsors for Kenya have very generously supported the purchase of the land, the building of the dormitorys and the water tank and pump system. We also have 3 cows, 200 chicks and the greenhouse is flourishing with tomatoes and other produce. The long term vision being Kiotani will be self sustaining. All we need is to buy the beds and bedding, kitchen fit out and instal solar panels.

The rescue centre will house 35 children, bringing them out of the hazardous environment of the forgotten slums in Machakos County and providing them with nutrition, education, health care and most importantly a safe environment to allow them to be children.

For £101 you can provide a bed, mattress, washing basin, storage box, blanket, sheets, pillow and towel for one child

For £57 you can provide a uniform kit and clothing for one child

For £24.50 you can provide classroom furniture for one child

For £7.41 you can purchase blankets for one child

For £3.73 you can purchase a pillow for one child

In addition we will also need to equip the kitchen, install solar panels and purchase a mode of transport.
