Kujo is my 18 month old boy. He is an absolutely amazing and loving dog, the life and soul of our household.

Yesterday his face started swelling out of nowhere so I took him to the vets and they treated him with a suspected bee sting.

A few hours later the swelling became drastically worse and his neck started to swell and fill with fluid. I rushed him down to the emergency vets for investigation.
They think he has been stung, had a severe allergic reaction, he has a huge collection of fluid the same size of a small football in his neck. They think his saliva gland has burst. He needs to be referred to a specialist to have surgery to fix it.

I had to pay £1800 yesterday for him to be seen. Unfortunately because he is an American Bulldog (not and XL), I could not get him insured for health care. So I had to pay for his treatment in full yesterday.

Now he needs to have this surgery to remove his saliva gland which they have estimated at £1900 with all the referral to the specialist.

If he doesn't have this surgery he will die due to the fluid putting so much pressure on his throat and effecting his breathing. Not to mention the pain is is causing him.

With already paying £1800 last night, I just don't have anything left to pay for the surgery. Coming on here is the last thing I wanted to do but I really don't know what else to do. Believe me this is my last resort.

I am pleading with people to please help with even the smallest amount. It all adds up and I understand how hard it is with the cost of living at the minute. Anything is so greatly appreciated by both myself and my children. We can't imagine our lives without our Kujo.
