    Story

    Goal:

The Lough Erne Landscape Partnership (LELP) aims to connect and engage people with their unique landscape by developing skills, improving confidence and providing opportunities to learn about the Lough. The LELP Team believe in the importance of enabling and improving access to Lough Erne, ensuring the benefits of the Lough can be experienced by all.

Lough Erne is a 40-mile long natural body of water, stretched across the County of Fermanagh; it provides the local community with social, economical, cultural and wellbeing benefits.

LELP understand the interconnected relationship between Lough Erne and the people of Fermanagh and, because of this, the LELP Team have chosen a fundraising goal which gives back to the community.

By completing a series of fundraising activities throughout the year, LELP aim to fund a public community Outdoor Swing Lift (which is both waterproof & weatherproof), and to install this along the Lough Erne Waterway, so those who may have reduced mobility can safely access the water and/or recreational vessels e.g. boats and kayaks etc. This piece of equipment will allow families and friends to explore the water with each other, without the physical restrictions caused by lack of accessibility.

    First event

Kicking off the fundraising in style, the LELP team will be taking part in Fermanagh's first 24-hour Hydrobikeathon, hosted by Erne Adventures (https://www.erneadventures.com/hydrobikeathon/)

This team of 6 (+ Volunteers) pedalled through the night from Friday 8th September (5pm) - Saturday 9th September (5pm), on the water! Raising just over a whopping £1000!

    Second Event

LELP's coffee morning took place on 16th November 2023 and raised £175.53! Thank you to all who came along.
