We are thrilled to share an exciting chapter in our school's history that we believe will have a profound impact on our students and our community as a whole. After participating in the prestigious Great Big Dance Off and the exhilarating Young Voices choir event, we have witnessed the transformative power of the performing arts on our students' lives. Now, we are embarking on a remarkable performing arts journey, and we need your help to make it a reality!

Our Vision:

At Lady Joanna, we firmly believe that the arts are an essential part of a well-rounded education. They provide our students with a platform for self-expression, creativity, and personal growth. By nurturing their talents and igniting their passions, we aim to create a vibrant arts community within our school. Recent research undertaken by the Education Endowment Fund highlights the benefits that the arts can have a child's wellbeing as well as positively impacting their academic attainment in general.

The Goal:

To further enhance our performing arts offer as a school, we are seeking to raise funds to support transportation to events and ongoing costs for our students' participation in various artistic endeavors. Our initial target is to raise £10,000, which will be used to contribute to the overall expenses associated with future performances, arts projects and a space for the arts.

Our amazing Friends Association is already supporting the school, raising funds for our Performing Arts Studio and we have made an incredible start, but we need more support to make this an incredible space for our children.

To kickstart this exciting fundraising initiative, we are hosting a whole school 'Sing-a-thon' on Friday 21st July, in which children will be able to join our resident music teacher in their class groups to sing songs of their choosing. We will support all classes with our fantastic choir members who are hoping to raise as much money as possible for any future events.
