We are setting up a brand new teaching academy following the recent and sad closure of Sheehans Music Academy, and are committed to developing the musical community within Leicestershire.

Leicester Music Lessons will offer professional one-to-one tuition on a wide range of instruments to all standards of player - from the complete beginner to the more advanced musicians who want to take their playing to the next level. We will cater for all ages from 4 to 94 (and upwards)

We have seen first hand how much playing a musical instrument can change a person's outlook on life. We will encourage our students to participate in concerts held throughout the year to build confidence & provide a supportive environment to showcase progress, and will link up with other musical events in Leicester to ensure that students are offered all the opportunities available to help them along on their journeys. There will be group activities & workshops for adults & children, and summer holiday clubs for children learning an instrument at school - we'll make sure they stay motivated over the long break from regular lessons!

During our first year we intend to teach upwards of 150 students per week, and will create a relaxed & friendly atmosphere where all are welcome to come for lessons, advice, or just a good cup of coffee...

We will also promote local music retailers as the past few years have seen too many shops falling by the wayside due to online shopping. We are intent on making sure that local honest advice & back up service doesn't become a thing of the past.

We have received many messages of support over the past month, and would be hugely grateful for all donations large or small which will be used for equipment, furniture, & advertising, to secure the long term stability of Leicester Music Lessons. We look forward to becoming a focal music hub within Leicestershire for many years, & are excited at the prospect of welcoming hundreds of budding musicians through our doors!
