Story
Leicester City Ladies FC began to play in March 1966 when a group of ladies met for a football training session on the car park of the Leicester City ground at Filbert Street.
Competitive and league female football was banned by the FA at the time but nonetheless
the team persevered and started to grow, always in search of a permanent home.
Fast forward to 2023, 57 years later, we are now a grassroots club catering for hundreds of
girls and women and with a thriving disability section, having made a difference to the lives
of thousands and contributed hugely to the National Game since it was founded: still NO
HOME to call our own.
2019 brought hope with an established ground & a Football Foundation grant. Those hopes
then dashed by Covid & so many hurdles up to today. Now costs have spiralled and grants
reduced.

Our club is financed by its members subscriptions and fundraising,
with no other income, we cannot reach the now necessary finance for the project without
your help.
