So last night I signed up for 2 7k runs (ones the Santa dash the other is the tinsel dash) on the 20th and 27th of November this was a spur of the moment thing.

Then I got thinking...my beautiful friend from universities world has been turned upside down and inside out when her newborn was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma a rare form of childhood cancer - there's 2 centers in the UK which deals with the one Lewis was sent to is Birmingham.

His left eye has a small tumor which they were able to Laser and remove during the examination. His right eye however the tumor was too large and had to be removed. The little guy is a fighter as is his mummy and daddy (and handsome big bro)

Yesterday came another blow when they received news Lewis will need Chemotherapy - this will be done in Edinburgh sick kids and every four weeks traveling to Birmingham.

Update: So little Lewis has an operation tues to put in a central line and so he can have bone marrow sample and a lumbar puncture to make sure there's no other cancer round his body and chemo starts wed 🎗
