Story
In celebration of the 200 years since the RNLI was formed, brave souls, setting out to sea when no one should dare, risking their all to save the lives of strangers, we’ve decided to take our retired lifeboat, AMiTy, ON963, on a little fundraising cruise. The plan is to visit 31 Lifeboat Stations along the South East coast of England, starting in late August with Bembridge, on the East end of the IOW, and all going well, finishing at Tower Station on the Thames. It’s a 650 mile round trip, and hopefully we’ll make all 31 Stations.
Any donation you’re able to give would be much appreciated, and please feel free to forward a link to this page to all your friends and colleagues. You can also follow the adventure by joining our FB page, Lifeboat 4 Lifeboats
So from all our fishermen, sailors, pleasure boaters, surfers, kayakers, the swimmer that went out a little too far, the child blown out to sea on an inflatable ring, or the person who just got a little close to the edge in high winds, we thank you for your support, no matter how big or small. And to all the amazing volunteer staff, who man our lifeboats, that we hope never to call, goes the biggest thank you of all. Hopefully this little adventure will help you in some small part to continue doing your amazing work.
