I'm asking for help to pay Lily's vet bills as she is my 8 year old sons best friend and a very much loved family pet
She is almost 7 years old and deaf. Recently she began to have bald patches and itchy skin, I took her to the vets where she had swabs & tests done confirming she has dermatitis mites which requires regular treatment for the next 3 months costing £100 a time this includes a monthly swab to check the condition
As well as this the vet fears she has a underlaying medical condition too possibly heartworm, at the moment she is having blood and urine tests which again are quite expensive but Lily is worth it
So far the vets fees are £240 and it's only the first month, depending on the blood and urine results she may need further treatment on top of the mite treatment she's already receiving
I only work part time due to having no family network or support for myself and son so I need to do it within school hours at the moment so as you can imagine I am struggling to cover the vet costs but don't want to stop any treatment and see lily suffer
She is my sons best friend he calls her his baby girl and it breaks my heart to see her unwell so I am asking for some help
