    Story

My name is Lily. I am quite young, about 10 months old. Someone severed my tail from my body a few weeks back. It was so painful that I just wanted to die. A kind lady took me to a vet. I was ready to surrender to the other side.

I don't know what they did to me. I think the lady called it an operation. Well, it was a magical operation because instead of crossing over to the other side of the rainbow, I got to live and tell my story. I am healthy and really glad to be eating, running and jumping around. I love cuddles, tickles and a good head rub.

The only problem is, because of the trauma from the operation, I can't wee too well on my own, and sometimes, I get constipated which means I am on a special diet. The kind lady cried and appealed on my behalf, again and again, but no one heard her, and no one wanted to give me a chance. So I am still in a cage, waiting.

It's not a bad life in the cage. I am fed and safe at least. But it costs money and I have none. The lady who rescued me cannot afford any more vet bills either. I have already cost her QR 4,000 ( about £920 ) and she has no idea how and when she is going to pay this off.

Truth to be told, I need to out and moving about. I need to rebuild my muscles which were damaged during the operation. I might be able to one day wee on my own again! I might be a normal kitty again!!!

The lady was about to help me go to sleep forever when my new daddy offered to give me a forever home in the US with other siblings like me. She is thrilled and I am just over the moon.

Now, I need to raise some money to get me microchipped, vaccinated and spayed before I travel. Of course, I also need to pay for my travel costs.

Can you please help me so I don't have to go to sleep forever, not at 10 months old?

      Update from the Page owner

Thank you everyone for your generous donations. Lily has now the funds required to fly to the US on 14 December. She has been recuperating with me since the end of October and has come on heaps! She is the sweetest girl ever, despite all the pain she has had to endure. Believe me, I cried everytime I expressed her bladder and bowels......she was in so much pain then. But now, she is a healthy active little girl, loving life! Her family in the US is eagerly awaiting her arrival. I know she will be very well loved there. Thank you xoxo
