    Story

WE'RE BRAVING A SKYDIVE TO RAISE MONEY!!!

In December this year, Love Recruitment will be travelling to Mumbai, India, on an aid trip where we have already sponsored the education of over 125 girls.

The trip comes almost a year after we launched our sponsorship programme and will coincide with Human Rights Month!

On Friday 25th November, our MD Lawrence and a lucky (or unlucky?) team member will be jumping out of a plane in a brave attempt to raise money which will be used to buy books, writing materials, water bottles etc and will be given to the Nanhi Kali girls during the visit.

    THE #SHARETHELOVE PROJECT:

In January 2016, inspired by the One for One movement by TOMS shoes, Lawrence and Abhi established the #ShareTheLove project – for every person placed in a job, a child’s education in India is sponsored for a year.

Since launching the project this year, over 125 girls have been sponsored and we envisage we will sponsor a total of 200 girls by the end of this year.

The #ShareTheLove project works in partnership with Indian charity Project Nanhi Kali, who’s headquarters we will visit in Mumbai.

Sponsorship means that Nanhi Kali girls receive academic support through additional classes before or after school, material support/kits and community support by way of regular interactions with the Nanhi Kali’s parents and the community to ensure they don’t drop out of school.

According to Unesco, if all women had a primary education, there would be 15% fewer child deaths.

If all women had a secondary education, child deaths would be cut in half, saving three million lives.

The trip will be a great way to see, first hand, the positive impact the project and it’s supporters have had so far.

    Every placement makes a difference.
