Luke will probably kill me when he sees this, but as most of you know, our life’s were turned upside down so suddenly, when Luke went to the hospital with a head ache and didn’t end up coming home. After thorough checks the hospital found a 12cm cancerous mass in his lymph nodes.

After futher investigation Luke was diagnosed with a very rare and very aggressive type of leukaemia. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia T- Cell. Our world just shattered.

Anyone that knows Luke knows how stubborn he is and how he won’t give up until he sees things to the end, he went into this thinking of it as a fight and a challenge and I know he won’t give up until that fight is won.

With Luke being in hospital and only home for a handful of days before he is back in hospital again for infections, blood transfusions, platelets, antibiotics, chemotherapy etc etc!

He is obviously unable to work for the rest of the year. This has put a lot of financial strain on us as a family. Luke always wanting to be “the man” and provide for his family, that has been taken away from him and I know deep down it is killing him that he can’t even help now.

After being failed by the government for sensible help, a friend suggested a donation page, I know if I asked Luke he would say “no chance”. However, I know if I was to set one up and if anyone was willing to help, it would massively take at least one of his daily stresses away. I can only do so much, I go to work any free chance I get! But I only manage a couple of days. Luke needs transporting to hospital 3x a week, 140 mile round trip. If he has been admitted, I am there every other day. There are not enough hours in the day 😔.

If anyone would be willing to help, however small, we would be so so so grateful. Every penny helps towards the extra cost of being in hospital. Getting to and from the hospital, the extra child care cost, as well as carrying on paying the mortgage and bills, with virtually no income coming in. I know Luke will be to proud to accept help but sometimes you have to put your pride to one side, and let kind people help out when they can. Thank you X
