Story
Luke Willacy recently lost his short but brave battle against Liver Cancer. Throughout Luke was a ray of positivity despite what he was facing, using what time he had left to make as many memories as he could with his family and new wife. But in between this Luke also conducted numerous fundraising events, raising money for charities such as MacMillan and Christies. Both of these charities were heavily involved in Luke's care. In memory of Luke we are playing a charity football match between his family and his friends, all proceeds will be donated towards causes whom help people in similar battles.
One of Luke's goals was to raise enough funds to earn a plaque with his name on it at Christies Cancer Hospital. This was not in a self-absorbent way, but Luke wanting to be an inspiration to others and importantly at the time, a marker off in the distance to aim for. Sadly, Luke's time was cut short and the task remains with us his family and friends to ensure that flag is reached. The total amount required is £15,000 towards the Christies charity to achieve this. Luke raised almost £20,000 however his Fundraising was always split between a number of Charities so we are still a way short, please help his family and friends achieve one final salute to a true gentleman and all round lovely guy.
