    Story

In September 2014 I moved to Birmingham, England to serve in a community church called Pavilion Christian Community [PCC]. For nearly two years on a weekly basis I’ve planned, prepared and taught the children’s classes at church, helped lead a play group for families in the community and worked in a community café. I’ve learned so much about the British culture and language… it’s a lot different than you would think! Most importantly I’ve learned that the Brits need God’s love just as much as Americans do. I love this place so much and I feel blessed beyond words that I have had the privilege to do life with the people in this community for the past 20 months.
In December 2015 the ministers of the church approached me and asked if I would like to continue to serve at PCC for another two years. I gladly said yes, thankful for the opportunity to continue to serve in this place that I love so much with these people that have come to mean so much to me.
My plan is to fly home on August 25th when my current visa expires and reapply as soon as possible for the same visa that I currently have. PCC will continue to provide housing for me and I will continue to work in the café a couple days a week to earn a bit of pocket money. With those things taken into account, I need to raise an additional £9,930, which converts to about $15,900. This amount will cover plane tickets, visa fees, living expenses and medical care for two more years. So far I've raised about $9,000 or £6,000. I'd love for you to partner with me!
In addition to giving financially, I would also ask that you support me in prayer. If I’ve learned anything these past couple years, it’s how powerful prayer is!
Thank you so much for partnering with me! It means the world to me.
