Lyra is our happy, beautiful and bright little girl. She enjoys listening to books and music, and playing with her big brother, Joseph.
But Lyra has Cerebral Palsy, which means she may not be able to sit, stand, walk or talk when older. We do physio with her every day and, while she still struggles to sit up unaided, thanks to our hard work and her physio team she has started to crawl – this was a massive surprise.
But it’s a sad fact that a lot of the new and exciting treatments that can really help Lyra in the future are not available on the NHS, so we have set up this fund to help pay for extra treatment and aids.
We can’t say yet exactly what the money will be used for as she is still a little small for the Doctor’s to say what’s best, but some good examples are Oxygen Therapy which is around £2,000, Trunk Therapy £7,000, Bobath 2 weeks treatment £3,900, SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) Operation from £15,000 plus...
We will be organising lots of events, but are asking you to join in too and plan something. Please let us know so we can share your event and thank you.
We will of course keep everyone updated with Lyra’s progress and what the money is being spent on via our Facebook Page.
Thank you all in advance.

My name is Mark and I'm the proud Daddy of Lyra who is nearly 2 years old and Joseph who is 7. Lyra has Cerebral Palsy, currently she can't sit on her own, walk, stand or talk... or babble really.
