Mountain Ash Cricket Club are taking part in the 2024 Walking in The Valleys for young cricketers. A four day charity walk scaling the Merthyr, Rhymney, Gwent & Cynon Valleys before finishing in the home of Welsh Cricket. Sophia Gardens.

We are proud to be associated with the Walking in the Valleys initiative which now has 13 clubs raising vital funds for local cricket. The walk will be challenging and we hope the weather is kind to us ☀️. Whatever the weather, we will proudly walk and raise money for the future generations of cricketers in Mountain Ash and the Cynon Valley.

Our fundraising efforts this year are geared towards our big aspirations to build a multi-net outdoor practice facility at our home Caedrawnant Playing Fields. We hope to turn a tennis court into a facility to not only enhance our existing provision of cricket, but to also expand our access to our community and bring more people to the fantastic sport.

We will be joined on the walk by members of our two adult sides, our Women's and Girls softball team, our junior section and our All Stars and Dynamos. We'd love the community to join us too, keep an eye on our socials for walk info!
