I've raised £10000 to Help Men and Women get help for Mental health issues and preventing or reducing Suicide rates in North Manchester

Men United Against Suicide Football Club was established in December 2022 in Manchester with a simple aim of gathering like minded men who have suffered in many ways from a decline in their mental health and/or indeed suicide. Our aim is to reach out to men who could benefit from our beautiful game.
We are looking to raise funds to allow us to support charities that help men and their families within our communities. Funds will also be used to put on local sporting and social events to further raise awareness and aid people in the right direction to get the necessary help.
We want to change the stigma around men's mental health, and allow an opportunity for people to talk and engage with each other.
Statistics on mental health and men...
* Just over three out of four suicides (76%) are by men and suicide is the biggest cause of death for men under 35
* 12.5% of men in the UK are suffering from one of the common mental health disorders
* Men are nearly three times more likely than women to become alcohol dependent (8.7% of men are alcohol dependent compared to 3.3% of women - Health and Social Care Information Centre)
* Men are more likely to use (and die from) illegal drugs
* Men are less likely to access psychological therapies than women. Only 36% of referrals to IAPT (Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies) are men.
