My name is Maddy and I am fundraising for Girlguiding international trips. Early next year I will be travelling to Sonderborg, Denmark with 10 other girls who, like me have be picked by Girlguiding Cymru to go on this amazing international Jamboree. A Jamboree is a large gathering of Girl guides and Scouts from around the world (in this case around 40,000), where they learn about each others cultures, languages and have fun participating in a wide range of activities designed to challenge young people and build friendship and bonds. Whilst in Denmark we will be living like the locals, experiencing their culture and meting other Guides and Scouts from around the world. The money raised will be spent on travel costs, accommodation, equipment and the uniforms that are required to go on the trip.
