Iʼve raised £150 to fund a fellowship for me to go to Cambodia with LRTT to help train teachers , so more pupils can have access to an education.

Story
For a while now I have been thinking about how my teaching skills that I have gained over the past 16 years , since starting working in schools could have a greater impact; for those that need it most.
I always enjoy a challenge and boy - this is going to be a huge one for me! The aim is to give 3 weeks of my holiday to support the teaching of the Cambodian teachers and share training and expertise. Below is more information about what LRTT do and here is a weblink to a video https://youtu.be/l8ne4-IdHGY .
I can think of nothing more rewarding than to share the privilege of my training with others. So, after careful consideration ( and with the wholehearted support of my own children and husband !) I am going to try to raise enough money to pay for the fellowship.
They do say , ' if your dream doesn't scare you , it isn't big enough' , well this terrifies me but excites me in equal measure! Please , help me to get out to Cambodia with LRTT - even if it takes 2 years to raise enough - I will get there and hopefully , along with the other fellows , I WILL make a difference that will LAST.

LRTT works with a small number of schools that are spread around the city of Siem Reap. There are many under-resourced schools in the area and this among other factors has led to low completion rates at primary school. Less than 40% of students continue to secondary school so boosting the quality of teaching in Siem Reap is of utmost importance.
The goal is to grow the capacity of teachers in the Siem Reap area so students have access to a better quality education. We deliver the LRTT course to teachers which introduces key areas of pedagogy and how to implement these in lessons. Each Fellow works with a small number of teachers, visits them in their schools, observe their lessons then give coaching on improvements to their teaching.
