Story
To celebrate my 60th birthday on Saturday the 9th of September I will attempt (weather permitting) the Welsh 3000s challenge in 24 h. in support of LFE (Lyreco For Education) and Severn Hospice.
The Welsh 3000s is a tough mountain challenge, where you climb the 15 peaks over 3000ft in Wales in under 24hrs! Geographically, these fall within three stunning mountain ranges; The Snowdon Massif, The Glyders and Carneddau.
During the 24hrs of walking, I’ll be ascending and descending approximately 8,000m and walking 50km (30 miles), with a large part of this taking place over rough terrain. A very good level of fitness and determination is essential, as this epic route will stretch my physical and mental limits.
I have been training for months to ensure I am physically and mentally fit to complete the challenge.

Total Distance: 50km (30 miles)
Ascent: 4155m (13,632 ft)
