Our stupid fat orange cat Marble was hit by a car today, unfortunately we dont have pet insurance (I know, its one of those 'we must do that when we can afford' it jobs)
We rushed him to the PDSA emergency hospital where he was assesed and as I write this I am waiting for a call to explain the diagnosis. Chances are he will need an op to repair a possible ruptured diaphram.
Even with help the bill for just obs/pain relief/iv fluids and an ultrasound will be over £300.
As far as finances go, myself and my wife are skint/brassic/ knackered, Im waiting on decisions as to whether Im eligible to get ESA due to industrial injuries and my wife just gets SSP of £70 per week, this situation with Marble is unmanagable.
I refuse to have him put to sleep because I cant afford to have him mended.
