Marcus is a police officer who, on 1/2/24, was on his way home having worked a 14hr shift to secure charges on 3 people arrested for various offences. Unfortunately he was involved in a serious traffic collision with a drink driver on the M4 which caused him to come off his motorbike and, whilst laying in the road, he was struck by a second vehicle (both drivers remained and were dealt with at the scene).

As a result of the two collisions Marcus has multiple serious injuries including (but not limited to) fractures/breaks to his pelvis, ankle, wrist, arms, collarbone, cheekbone and nose. It is not yet determined if these injuries may be life and/or career changing.

Marcus’ family do not live locally. The aim of this fundraiser is to help cover their travel and accommodation costs whilst they spend the first couple of days at his bedside. If there is any surplus it will be put towards his colleagues‘ seperate fundraising to purchase him a tablet to help keep him occupied whilst he starts his lengthy recovery in hospital.
