Story
After the sad passing of Marina on June 27th her family have requested that instead of flowers, donations could be made to DorkingMinds a local, community based mental health project to which Marina dedicated a lot of her time and talents. The money raised will be used on a project in Marina’s name that will focus on our continued education programme, aiming to educate people about mental and emotional resilience.

1 year agoThe phrase that has cropped up most often about Marina is 'She was a force of nature' and she certainly was. Marina did so much for Dorking Minds, as well as so many organisations and individuals within Dorking. She was doing things for others right up to her last few days on this earth. Her fund has gone way beyond expectations. We have many suggestions about how to celebrate her life but please feel free to make others. We would like to have some ideas around mental health and links with nature and growing as these were great loves of hers.

Dorking Minds is a local mental health initiative with the aim to educate the local community with mental health training and community talks. We run regular, heavily subsidised Mental Health First Aid trainings and a Monthly Mental Health Monday session.
