Story
Markington's Village Hall committee has secured a grant of £27,000 for the building of a new village Sports Court, to replace the existing one behind the Village Hall, which has been in need of major repair for some time.
The new facility or MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) as they are known, will be a real asset to the village as it will provide a safe and fun space that is specially designed to be used by both children and adults alike for a variety of different sports including Tennis, Football, Hockey, Netball or Basketball.
However this is only possible if the village is able to raise an additional £3,500 as this is the total amount needed to fund the completion of the Games Area.
If we can successfully raise this amount, the plan is that the upgrade will start in February 2017 and will take approximately 3 weeks, and once built the court will be usable immediately and full court markings will be applied around four weeks later, once the surface is fully cured.
Please help us make this fantastic project happen for our Village, by making a donation! Thank you for your support!

Please support the appeal. The Institute is run by volunteers who need to fundraise to offset the annual shortfall in rental let alone investing in new projects. Please dig deep and help us!
