Hello, I am Max a 14 year old from Essex. I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to go to Kenya for 4 weeks with Camps International, To be able to go on this expedition I have to fundraise £3690 by 2018. On this expedition I will have the opportunity to build an establishment for underprivileged children and help build mud huts for elderly citizens that have no where to rest their head at night, this is just the start of what a difference me and a few other mates can make to this country in need. Aswell as what I have already mentioned we will be making (As bad as it may sound haha) paper out of elephant poo which we will give to the locals of the village we are staying in so they can sell it and use that money to improve their lifestyles. There is much more that we will be doing while away on this expedition like constructing clean water supplies for the village so they do not have to drink contaminated water which could potentially lead to life threatening diseases, contaminated water leads to an average life expectancy of 55 in Kenya. Woven into all of this hard work is of course also a couple of treats, we will be going on 4 safaris in different parts of Kenya and several scuba dives in the Indian ocean. This money covers all of the accommodation and supplies needed to build classrooms and mud huts for underprivileged citizens of Kenya.
