Story

On Wednesday 22nd November 2023 somebody took it upon themselves to take Max's tree from the grounds of St Clements church, Ashton old road, Openshaw.

The tree was planted in 2018 in memory of little Max Rimmer-Chambers who tragically passed away aged 4. The tree has been a shining light in Openshaw and a place of remembrance for Max.

His mum and dad have worked tirelessly over the last few years to put together community events in Openshaw and fundraise in memory of Max. I can't even imagine how hurtful this has been for them and I'd love for nothing more than to be able to show Colin & Kerrie that the people of Openshaw & our community here do really care & are deeply saddened too by what's happened.

I'm hoping that by coming together we can raise the funds to replace Max's tree before his upcoming birthday.

If you can contribute anything at all, it would be hugely appreciated and would mean the absolute world.

Many thanks x
