Story

Meadows Primary School and Nursery has excellent potential to be an outstanding learning environment! Many children in the school are managing a wide range of disadvantages and/or social, emotional and mental health challenges and needs including trauma, disability and bereavement. They deserve our full support and provisions which enable them to flourish. This is a challenge at present because Meadows Primary School and Nursery needs a Nurture Room. This is a space in which children can escape to learn with peers, have much needed time out from the classroom or enjoy learning activities outside of the normal classroom environment. A separate, calming and special space, decorated, furnished and resourced to specifically develop these children’s learning, social and emotional needs will make a remarkable difference to many of our most vulnerable children’s opportunities in our school. Unfortunately, Government funding is not enabling our school to provide what it needs to. It is for this reason that Ben is supporting the school's fundraising efforts by aiming to walk the three highest peaks in Shropshire over two days.
