Story
At Meridian School, we believe the health and safety of our students, and indeed, of all those who use the school site, is a top priority. As such, we are trying to raise money, in order to purchase a defibrillator.
We are contacting all those who use the school site, along with others who have a connection with or interest in the school, to let them know about this fundraising.
We firmly believe that in the case where a defibrillator is available to be used in an emergency, the chances of saving a person’s life are increased hugely, especially if this is available to be used within the first 4 minutes. The arrival of an ambulance is likely to take much longer than this.
In order to be able to buy a defibrillator, with which first aid staff can be trained, we are seeking voluntary donations from parents / carers of our students, as well as from those who use the site during evenings or weekends, or from members of the public who wish to support this venture. The defibrillator would be available to all who use the site and its facilities.
Thank you for supporting our good cause.

7 years agoThank you very much to all who have already donated to our "Defibrillator Fund". Your generosity is much appreciated. We are well on the way towards covering the cost of one defibrillator. We are hoping that we may be able to raise enough to purchase a second, in order to increase further the safety of those who use our site during the day and in the evenings. Thank you Meridian School
