Child Bereavement UK Registered charity number 1040419

In the UK a parent dies leaving a dependent child every 20 minutes. (Scotland is every 3 hours)

That's 26,900 parents who die each year leaving dependent children.

46,300 children under 18 are bereaved each year of a parent.

*These stats are from the Office of National Statistics. (ONS)

**The statistics are estimated because the government doesn't record!

So what do we plan to do I hear you ask.........

Well several of the coaches will run 26.2 miles wearing kilts and will be joined at various stages by other coaches, parents and players running either 2km, 5km, 10km or Half Marathon distance.

We will start the marathon at Bathgate Thistle Football Club and run the 26.2 miles around the various football clubs we play against including Broxburn, Murieston and East Calder finishing at the Black Bull in Mid Calder.

50% of the funds raised will be donated to Child Bereavement UK. The remaining donations will be used to buy away kits for the boys as they move towards 7 aside football next season.

Thank you for your kind donation.
