Story

Mikey’s Wish Foundation is a small charity that is raising funds to support children, teens and adults with speech, language and communication needs. Too many children are on the NHS waiting list to be seen by speech and language services and we all know that early intervention is so important when it comes to getting the best outcome for children with speech language and communication needs.

The funds we raise will provide speech and language assessments with a detailed report and provide speech and language therapy sessions with a qualified speech and language therapist for familes who are struggling to access this crucial support through the NHS.

Our founder Mikey, having had unintelligible speech until 8 years old, knows first hand how it feels to struggle to communicate and have to spend 13 years in speech therapy learning how to speak and now he wants to ensure that every child, teen and adult has a voice that can be heard.

On the 31st August 2024, Mikey’s Uncle and his wife (Jason and Kate) will be taking on the epic challenge of cycling from Lands End to John O Groats to raise money for Mikey’s Wish Foundation. 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️
